First off, no matter what, HAPPY PRIDE! Scroll to the bottom for a list of Pride events, orgs and links! I am thankful for all the queer folx who relentlessly plan, network, and organize 365 days of the year for Pride events . That’s not my strength at all. I appreciate seeing and feeling the high level activity during Pride month while my wife and I have our introverted fun with a picnic or a walk. My wife is particularly excited for the annual Summer Stride 2026 Summer Stride! Try it out ;)
While resting in May I didn’t partake in elections discourse in general. It’s not pretty. So many wealthy people trying to convince us to give them more power over us. Politically entrenched people climbing up the power ladder of the US Government. Try to remember our US Gov is collaborative in multiple genocides worldwide including the one STILL happening in Gaza, and also Congo, Sudan and Tigray as well as the extreme harm we’re doing to Cuba and South America…Once you start naming them, it’s hard to stop. Try to remember why being pro-police is harmful and lethal, especially to Black people. Try to remember homeless people have been brutalized by Democrats too. Try to remember all the empty words and throwing under buses trans people have endured from these same politicians. Try to remember we now have concentration camps that are torturing people to the point of hunger strikes, and some to death and suicide even, and no Democrat has seriously fought to close one in California. Elections are just not my thing. So as an ode to these unhappy elections and times.
May 24, 2026 Human-phobia Repulsive Repellent Conformity Homogeneous My existence is your purity test You are impure without me And you wish to remain so Human-phobic Deep hunger pains drive them to cannibalize me Human-phobic Stack like blocks Create larger squares Lob off your brain's curves Replenish brain blocks It's just easier this way Human-phobic masters of deception smiling lying eyes mesmerizes ignorant minds marginalized scapegoats power hunger fools Dangerous ignorant fools Indignant lust to dominate you & crow victory to other mobs Human-phobic I miss the days when I didn't fear you but now I've seen the tested you Human failure to reject fascist fantasies Stay away from me ********************************* I talk to people in the past more than I do the present They've already been through all this What did they do? How did they survive? What did they do wrong? How did this happen again? The people of the past are more serious than the ones of the present They have urgency, they act faster, they hit harder than you They feel what I feel they comfort me with their sympathy I try to share their words with you But you just won't hear from those that care more about people than power I continue talking to people of the past the only people who really get it because it killed them first.
